Campaign Manager - Campaign Manager (Silverlight)
Track TimelinesTiming is crucial in campaigns and it is important to specify exactly when an action should take place: each Track has a Timeline which specifies the order in which actions are performed for individual recipients. Every campaign has a default time item node called Do Immediately. Actions added to this node will be implemented as soon as this node is triggered, for example when the campaign is started or when a specified event takes place. Nodes stacked on top of each other will be performed in parallel. Other time item nodes which can be used to specify when an action should take place include:
The START track is a default track that can be edited but not removed. By default, all recipients in the audience enter this track. As soon as the campaign is started then any actions that have been added to this track will fire off immediately for all recipients in the track. If your start track is configured to run once, then your audience will only ever be processed once at the start of the campaign. If the Start track is rerun then the target audience will be reprocessed and any new recipients that qualify for the inclusion criteria will be included and out through the track. |
